House History

Named for Warren Meeker (1868-1947). A member of the faculty for 56 years, Meeker came to Iowa State as an assistant in mechanical engineering. He was made professor and head of the department in 1907 and served as head until 1934. He was a member of the Ames Public School Board for 33 years, including 16 years as president.
