House History
Named for Charles Murry (1876-1962). Murry accepted a position as an assistant in bacteriology at Iowa State in 1908 and earned his degree in veterinary medicine in 1912, teaching bacteriology, infectious diseases and veterinary hygiene. He was named Dean of the Veterinary College in 1936. Due to age limitation he retired as dean in 1943 but continued to teach. He was co-author of the text, Veterinary Bacteriology.
