Fall 2026 SCHEDULE

Below are the dates when move in begins for the groups listed. You’re welcome to come on the day your group begins or anytime after. Check-in time varies each day (see the dates below). Go directly to your residence hall/apartment complex, find your hall/community desk to get your move-in packet and keys, and unload your items.

Please note: You will not be able to move-in outside of the hours listed below, so please plan accordingly.

  • Saturday, Aug. 1: Interim Housing begins.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 12: Interim Housing residents transition to fall assignment. Check-out time is from 4 to 8 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 14: Halls and apartments open for sorority recruitment move in. Check-in time is 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday, Aug. 15-16: Early arrivals can begin to move in. Check-in time is 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Monday, Aug. 17: All on-campus apartments are open for residents to begin moving in. Check-in time is 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 18: New-to-ISU students living in even-numbered residence-hall rooms can begin moving in. Check-in time is 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 19: New-to-ISU students living in odd-numbered residence-hall rooms can begin moving in. Check-in time is 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 20: Returning students living in the halls can begin moving in. Check-in time is 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 21: Returning students living in the halls can move in. Check-in time is 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday, Aug. 22-23: Returning students living in the halls can move in. Check-in time is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Monday, Aug. 24: Fall 2025 semester classes begin.
