SPRING 2026 Move In

Welcome to the Cyclone family and life on campus! Spring move-in is as follows:

  1. Review your room assignment and, if applicable, roommate information here.
  2. Arrive to campus anytime beginning Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026. Move in continues through the first day of classes, Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Your Move-In Day

You can move in beginning on Thursday, Jan. 15. When you arrive, go to your hall desk. Staff will provide you with a check-in packet, which will include your room key and bathroom key (if applicable) and a move-in booklet with specific information about your hall.

Hall desks will be open during the following times/days for Spring Move-in

  • January 15-18: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
  • January 19: 1 to 5 p.m. 

Please note: You will not be able to move-in outside of those hours, so please plan accordingly.

  • Move in is not available before Jan. 15, 2026. If you choose to move in on Jan. 20 or after, you need to email us at housing@iastate.edu to let us know when you plan to arrive.

Your Meal Plan

ISU Dining is the most delicious part of your adventure! If you live in a hall with the exception of Linden, Wallace and Wilson, you’ll choose one of these plans.

If you live in Linden, Wallace, Wilson, Frederiksen Court or SUV, you’re welcome to choose any of the plans listed here or here. Plans are not required in these areas but many students do choose a plan because of the convenience and wide variety of options on campus.
