FRILEY HALL
There is a lot to love about Friley! As one of the largest residence halls in the nation and a strong core of returning students, Friley is a great place to call home while you’re at Iowa State. You’re sure to meet people, have plenty to keep your social life full and you’ll also find a strong focus on academics.
Lincoln, Palmer, Pennell and Stange houses in Friley are substance free. This means that alcohol, tobacco and other drugs are prohibited in these houses regardless of the age of the student.
Friley’s location is a major plus in a lot of student’s minds. State Gym and Beyer Hall offer plenty of recreation options (swimming, climbing wall, weights, basketball courts and more) just around the corner. There’s also our fast-casual burger joint, a Starbucks and two dining centers, including Windows on the first floor, all within minutes of each other.
