FLEMING, Annie Wilson (1871-1945), graduated from Iowa State in 1894 and received an M.S. from the University of California in 1921. She taught in the schools of Iowa until 1900 when she returned to Iowa State as a teacher of mathematics and continued until her death, a period of 45 years. She was a thorough student herself and expected much from her students. She gave unstintingly of her time both in the class room and in conferences with students. Those who completed her courses successfully were always well prepared for their future work in mathematics.
