Memorial Union Hall

In fall 2016, the Department of Residence will house students in the former Memorial Union Hotel located on floors 4, 5 and 6 of the building. The Memorial Union offers 54 rooms and will be home to about 70 ISU students.

A 15-minute walk to any Iowa State University building, including Stephens Auditorium, Scheman Center, Hilton Coliseum and Jack Trice Stadium, the Memorial Union is also home to The MU Food Court, the University Book Store, plus multiple spaces for art and entertainment. With a food court, cafe, the Workspace, bowling alley, M-Shop, and more--the MU is a hub of activity! On occasion, there may be events that go late into the evening and you may hear noise from those events.

-Begins Sunday, Aug. 14
-Check in at the Information Desk located on the 2nd floor near the Cardinal Room
-Vehicles will be given a 12-hour, one-entry/exit pass for move in that is valid in the MU ramp. After the pass is expired or you exit, it is no longer valid and you will be responsible for paying MU ramp fees.
-If you are bringing a trailer, we will have controlled parking available on the west side of the building on Sunday, Aug. 14, from 8 am to 5 pm. When your time is up, you need to move your trailer to the stadium lots (Jack Trice/Hilton). Trailers will not fit in the MU ramp
-NO parking on the north or south sides of the building. Those are fire and bus lanes.

DINING: While no meal plan is required in the MU, you may want to consider an ISU Dining meal plan. You're welcome to choose from one of the five semester plans offered by ISU Dining or build your own plan with a combination of meal blocks and dining dollars. Check out your options at
