Ames, IOWA – The wait is over! Housing assignments, roommate information, and move-in dates for Fall 2011 are now available on AccessPlus (https://accessplus.iastate.edu).

Incoming ISU students can simply log on to AccessPlus to discover their housing information. If you forgot your AccessPlus login or password, call the Help Center at 515-294-4000.

Once you have located your housing information, click over to ISU’s Department of Residence website to get information about move in, including dates and times, a list of residence hall and room amenities, and a list of items to bring when you come to campus in the fall.

Students interested in changing their room assignment can log on to AccessPlus anytime Thursday through Sunday during June and July to view and select vacancies throughout campus. Availability is consistently changing, so students looking to switch rooms can do so at any point during June and July. Students living in a Residential Learning Community may need to call the Department of Residence at 515-294-2900 prior to changing their assignment.

Getting your housing information means it’s also time to look into your meal plan and identify the plan that is best for you. Currently, all on campus residents are defaulted to the ISU Dining Gold Plan. This plan comes with 225 meals and 200 Dining Dollar$ per semester. To find out more about meal plan options, visit dining.iastate.edu. To change your meal plan, simply log on to AccessPlus anytime this summer.

Students looking to bring their vehicles to campus can visit the Department of Public Safety website located at dps.iastate.edu to get more information. To register your vehicle and purchase a 2011-12 parking permit, log on to AccessPlus. Lot assignments are made on a first come, first served basis. Newly admitted student registration begins at 9 am on Monday, July 18.

Students who are hoping to get around campus by bicycle this fall must register their bike for free on AccessPlus.

More information will be sent out to both parents and students throughout the summer regarding housing and move-in, including tips on how to prepare for your tip to campus this fall. Students or parents with questions can call the Department of Residence at 515-294-4000 or send us an email at housing.iastate.edu.
