Residence Hall Move Out Procedures

Any time you are moving out of your room, whether you are making a room change or leaving on-campus housing, you must follow proper check-out procedures. Not following proper check-out procedures can create financial and security issues for you and other students. As such, we take these procedures very seriously.

If you do not follow all check-out procedures or you do not check out by the assigned deadline you will be charged a $50 improper check-out fee. You may also face lock change charges and, depending upon the time of year, you may also continue to accrue daily room and board charges until you have officially checked out.

Check-Out Procedures

To properly check out you must:

    1. At least 24 hours before you plan to leave, contact your CA and schedule a move-out appointment.
