Service Requests

Requests for maintenance and custodial services are processed by the staff in our Service Center.

Non-Emergency Requests – Submit your request using the link at right.

Daytime Emergency Requests – Call the Service Center at 515-294-3322.

After Hours Emergency Requests - Between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. contact the Community Adviser (CA) on Duty in your building. The CA on Duty can assist you with:

  • Lost keys, lockouts, and/or broken locks
  • Emergency maintenance issues such as flooding, power outages, broken windows, etc.


When submitting requests, please keep in mind:

  • You will receive a confirmation email and reference number. Keep this number to follow-up on your request.
  • By submitting a request you give our staff permission to enter your room/apartment without prior notification. As such, DOR staff will not submit a request on your behalf.
  • The Service Center reserves the right to determine the priority of all requests.

Requests are generally handled by DOR staff. Depending on the nature of your request, we may need assistance from Facilities Planning and Management, Environmental Health and Safety, or from a University approved outside contractor.
