Move-In Process

Students moving in after the Lied Testing and Check-In site closes on Sunday, Aug. 16, at 1:30 p.m. will still need to be tested for COVID-19 in order to move in.

All testing will be done at Thielen Student Health during business hours. You can’t check in to on-campus housing until you have proof of testing from Thielen Student Health.
To be tested, you should:

  1. Call Thielen Student Health Center at 515-294-5801 and schedule a time for COVID-19 testing. Tests can only be administered during these hours.
  2. Thielen Student Health will then give you a Proof of Testing sheet
  3. Take the Proof of Testing sheet to your hall desk (dorms) or apartment community center (apartments) to check in
  4. Then, we will issue keys and you can move in

If you arrive without a proof of test, you will not be allowed to move in until you have one. Be sure to contact Thielen Student Health at 515-294-5801 and schedule your COVID-19 test.

If you believe you are exempt from testing due to a prior positive COVID-19 test, you must have an email from Thielen Student Health stating that you are exempt.

If you do not have an email from Thielen Student Health, contact them at or at 515-294-5081 to review your case and ensure you have the exemption email so you can move in.

You must have a Proof of Testing OR an email from Thielen Student Health in order to move in. You will not be allowed to move in if you don’t have one of those things.
